The Township is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to assume the planning and building responsibilities of “Director of Development Services”. This position will be staffed by the Township and shared with the Municipality of Bayham in accordance with and subject to a Memorandum of Understanding.
Recent announcements signaling major investment and plans for this area in the automotive sector will have a dramatic impact on how our communities (Bayham and Malahide) will develop and grow. The incumbent will provide strategic vision, leadership and expert guidance in land-use planning, development, and building (this position oversees the position of Chief Building Official, which is also being shared between the two municipalities) while ensuring short and long-term plans are in place to maintain existing development and to accommodate growth.
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit a detailed resume and cover letter, in confidence, to the undersigned no later than noon on June 2, 2023.
If this senior-level planning position is not for you, but you are still interested in other possible planning opportunities with the Township, such as junior/intermediate-level, part-time, etc., we would still like to hear from you!
