The City of Harrisonburg, Virginia is seeking qualified candidates for consideration as the next Deputy City Manager, which serves as part of the City Manager's Executive Leadership Team. In this role, the Deputy will plan, lead, direct, and evaluate the operations and programs of the City Government, develop and maintain relationships with City Council, employees, and the public, and coordinate the City's operating budget and capital improvements.

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree with coursework in public administration or a related field and extensive (6 or more years) managerial experience in local government as a City/County/Town Manager, Deputy or Assistant Manager, or Assistant to City/County/Town Manager. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.
A valid driver's license.
Currently or the ability to become a resident of the City of Harrisonburg within a timeline specified by the City Manager.
