Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) is seeking qualified applicants to fill the Energy Management Specialistposition in Willcox, AZ.
The Energy Management Specialist is responsible for working with Commercial, Industrial and Residential Members to utilize programs beneficial to both SSVEC and our members. They will serve as a spokesperson for SSVEC on routine matters to members as well as research and develop new commercial products and services for our Commercial and Industrial (C&I) members. The Energy Management Specialist is responsible for small commercial and residential energy management, and Demand Side Management.

Establishes and maintains contact with C&I members and discusses operating procedures as they relate to electrical costs with extensive knowledge of rates, billing, and contract details.
Effectively responds to inquiries regarding abnormal bills and provides informed recommendations for enhancing load factor, power factor, and power quality.
Maintains and markets SSVEC's Demand Side Management (DSM) program, monitoring similar work by other utilities and actively incorporating improvements where possible.
Meets with members, salespersons, builders, HVAC contractors, engineers, architects, developers, and realtors to review energy use and building plans to promote electrical use and energy efficiency.
Carries out communication and public relations responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
An Associate Degree or 5 years of relevant work experience in agriculture and/or economic development, including experience in energy efficiency and/or load management technologies, fieldwork and program management, or technical knowledge of commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural energy efficiency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess an Arizona Class D driver's license.
Certified Energy Manager preferred or willing to achieve certification within a reasonable time frame and/or attain the NRECA Certified Key Account Executive Certification.
Experience in public relations is preferred.
