Gogebic Community College is seeking an individual who is responsible for all matters relating to instruction. Additionally, the individual works collaboratively with the President and the Director of Academic Services. The VP also has a supervisory role over four other directors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assessment, Accreditation & Curriculum
? Supervises faculty and instruction-related administrative personnel, which includes the assignment of instructional loads, scheduling, recruitment, retention, hiring, reassignment, promotion, evaluation, training, contract administration, negotiations, and discipline.
? Directs the delivery, evaluation, revision and development of curricula. Coordinates the functions of the Curriculum Committee.
? Aid in the coordination of the college’s accreditation process to comply with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and quality initiatives.
? Directs the delivery, evaluation, revision and development of curricula. Coordinates the functions of the Curriculum Committee.
Fiscal, Personnel & Budgetary Responsibilities
? Prepare and administer department budgets while maintaining fiscal integrity.
? Directs the administration of the college budget and facilities related to instruction.
? Serves as the college liaison for local and regional economic development efforts.
? Makes recommendations to the President for all new personnel assignments within the educational division of the college.
? Makes final determination of schedules and assignments of faculty for all credit and non-credit courses at both on-campus and off-campus locations.
? Coordinates the assignment of facilities and equipment for instructional use.
Supervisory Duties
? Supervises Director of Off-Campus.
? Supervises Director of Workforce Development.
? Supervises Director of Instructional Design.
? Supervises Director of Allied Health
? Works collaboratively and alongside the Director of Academic Services.
? Advocates faculty to faculty collaboration.
Internal, Community & External Engagement
? Provide presentations to the board monthly.
? Participation in community, state, and national organizations that work towards the betterment of academic programs and support the strategic plan of the college.
? Serve as a member of various internal councils and committees.
? Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill and abilities. A typical way to obtain these would be:
Master’s in Education or related field. Doctorate preferred. A combination of seven years’ experience in community college administration, instructional coordination, or teaching.

Victoria College (VC) is a public community college in Victoria, Texas. The college first began classes in the Patti Welder High School on February 4, 1925. After World War II, because of the growth of the surrounding area and the college population from returning GIs, the college built its own campus and changed its name from the Victoria Junior College to Victoria College. The college shares some facilities with the University of Houston–Victoria.
