Essential Duties:
Design, implement and manage programs that encourage and attract economic development within Southwestern Electric's service territory.
Build strong networks in the community and industry to stay abreast of upcoming opportunities and challenges that may affect our membership.
Build strong relationships with existing commercial loads in an effort to stay abreast of their operational needs.
Identify opportunities for growth within our service territory.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economic development, engineering, marketing or economics is preferred.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in industrial, commercial, agricultural and community development marketing, sales promotion, power sales and site selection activities.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable with the Cooperative's insurance carrier.
Excellent customer service and human relations skills.

Formed in 1939 with a loan from the Rural Electrification Administration (REA), Southwestern Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SWECI) is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative located in Southwestern Illinois. Southwestern Electric Cooperative serves nearly 23,000 residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial member accounts in parts of Bond, Clay, Clinton, Fayette, Effingham, Macoupin, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Shelby and St. Clair Counties. Headquartered in Greenville, Illinois, the co-op maintains nearly 3,500 miles of power line, employs more than 80 people, and owns a 47-megawatt peaking plant.
